Exercycle that displays energy produced!
A Bar graph displays energy produced while you pedal your exercycle.

Background

This exercycle can produce energy and also measure it as you pedal it. The amount of energy produced is quantified and displayed as a bar graph so curious visitors/students who visit the Energy Exhibition can pedal and experience how energy is produced as they pedal the exercycle!

Deenabandhu Trust, Chamarajanagar, Karnataka

This project was developed for an NGO which is into building Scientific Exhibitions, Museums and upgrade Science Demonstration infrastructure in schools called Deenabandhu. As part of an Energy themed museum they were setting up this exhibit was developed by Ideas Unlimited, Mysuru.

Exercycle Demonstration video that demonstrates
energy generated in a bar graph form!
Now installed at an Energy related Exhibhition/Museum.

This system consists of an energy producing/speed measurement circuit which calculates the energy produced by the person pedalling the system. It is then subjected to a logarithmic formula using which the final bar graph output is displayed in real time.

Exercycle Bar Graph Electronics
under Development and Testing.

Exercycle integrated to electronics and testing in progress.

Finished Exercycle being tried out.

The more effort a person puts in the more energy is produced! People visiting the science gallery can also compete with each other on how much energy they can produce and how fast, and how long!
