Dragon's Den at GRS Fantasy Park

A scary themed show where skeletons, mummies rise up and the grand finale will be a 20 feet tall Dragon rising out of water to scare the wits out of the visitors - runs on electronics and software made by us!

Water Curtain: Pixels in Water!

Imagine the water droplets dropping from a height take the commanded shape and the droplets display images/text we want? This POC tech demonstrator built by us to demonstrate the concept, that it can be made in India.

Persistence of Vision device

This Persistance of Vision device can display multi-color text using a single line of moving illuminators! This prototype was built for a startup. A larger version of the same, if built, can be installed on top of buildings for outdoor advertisement.

Snow Park Merry go Round

Low voltage DC (safe) Merry go round built for GRS Snow Park, Mysuru. This ride operates at low DC voltage, but packs 2 kilowatts power to drag visitors sitting on tubes over icy surface! Lots of fun with complete safety too!

Low Voltage DC operated Snow Plough

Low Voltage DC (safe) Stainless steel Snow Plough built for GRS Snow Park, Mysuru. Similar to Power tiller used by farmers, but made entirely from Food grade Steel (SS-304) and completely safe to operate in icy/watery environment.

Snow Sledge Launcher

Pneumatic ride launching system reduces the effort of staff assiting people to go on the ride, during peak visitor conditions. It was designed and retrofit to an existing ride and keeps safety in mind.

Automatic Water Curtain

Developed for GRS Fantasy Park, this novelty was installed to an existing attraction called 'Lazy River'. As soon as a person is detected to be near a bridge by an ultrasound sensor, a water curtain triggers and welcomes the person!

Functional Miniature Scale Models

Miniature Wind power grid Simulator

This miniature Wind Farm/Wind Grid Simulator has 0.003x Scale models of wind turbine, terrain, homes, street lights, that can be interfaced with real Wind farm controller to demonstrate how a Wind Farm works!

Miniature Food Storage Silo

Scale model of the big Food Storage Silo envisaged to demonstrate to the end user. This is a scale model built with everything including lights, racks, rotating bins in racks, battery, door, switch etc.

Mini Isolation Cubicle

We also built a fully functional Miniature Isolation Cubicle (Actual product useful for Covid-19 combat, but difficult to carry to demonstrations) that is a 3:1 scale model of the real product!

Miniature Toggle Clamp

Sometimes while building miniatures, if we are not able to get a small sized functional part, we design and build it ourselves. This very tiny toggle clamp was one such effort.

Tiny Functional Dental Clip

Designed and built for dental use, this tiny spring loaded metal clip works exactly like the bigger clips, and can be used to hold tiny wires/metal strips in hands free mode!

Miscellaneous Miniature scale models

As part of miniaturizing functional models, we build several realistic looking, to scale miniatures. Some of them are showcased below. The scale model of the Hindu temple outer structure shown here is only 1.5 inch tall!

Animatronics, Fun Tech

Door Bell that rings a bell!

This bell literally rings a bell, when someone presses the doorbell! This automatic bell was developed for a customer who wanted it at his house, to have a novel door bell.

Moving Cinema Poster

Poster with a giant butterfly on it which flaps its wings! We built a simple motorized mechanism to make the butterfly flap its wings. We developed it on behalf of a movie team, for promoting a Kannada Children's film "Jeerjimbe".

Moving Mascot

Cute turtle, the mascot of GRS Fantasy Park (Water theme park based in Mysuru), nods its head and waves its hand at visitors when switched on. We built the motorized system that animates this mascot.

Functional Miniature Wind Turbine

This table top 0.003 scale model miniature turbine mimics and simulates a giant offshore wind turbine, which has been designed to behave same patterns like speed or yawing etc, and can be digitally controlled!

IP65 Lighting for Night Sailing Regatas!

IP65 Water proof Lighting and control systems for enabling night sailing of Seabird class Sail boats so they can race at night! Complete solution developed by us which was used to conduct India's first Night Sailing Regata!

Pressure Sensitive Dance Pad/Poise

This mat can detect foot pressure using several sensors, and transmit data wirelessly for Gaming, Medical and other applications. The pad has RGB illumination for both sides and can be lit in any color. It also has Wifi/USB Communication.

TicTacToe Pad

This table top mat with 3X3 cell is pawn aware and can detect the pawn uniquely. It is used in gaming as well as medical applications. Each cell has Software controlled RGB which can be set to any color! It also has Wifi/USB Communcation.

SIMBU: Hi-Fidelity, Neonatal Ultrasound Simulator

India's first Hi-Fidelity Neonatal ultrasound simulator. This Simulator is a game changer that can change the way neonatal doctors are trained to do Ultrasound scanning on Neonates.

India's first local AED Trainer

AED trainer is a “non-shocking” replica of an automated external defibrillator used for training people. We developed, India's First AED Trainer that can speak all Indian languages, with features that are not present in imported devices.

High Resolution (5MP) Intra-oral camera with controlled illuminators

High resolution dental Camera which can shoot 5MP picture/video, at a range of 5-20 mm distance! It can also interfaced to a conferencing app like Zoom/Google Hangouts to beam video too!

Neonatal Feedrail

This device is useful in NICUs (Neonatal ICUs) for feeding Neonates (Just born or premature babeis) and reduces work load on the NICU nurses in feeding neonatal babies, and also brings consistency and repeatability to feeding process!

Incisor Angulation Jig that can avoid X-Rays!

This instrument can measure the anglulation of upper and lower incisors without the need to take X-Rays! In fact, it eliminates the need to take two X-Rays. This device was jointly developed along with a Dental Practitioner.

NNFI Shishu - Android app for Neonatology

This Android based mobile application was developed for NNFI (National neonatology Forum of India) for assisting Neonatology/paediatric doctors with dozens of calculators, interactive graphs, charts, drug databases in daily use.

NNFI Shishu - iPhone edition for Neonatology

The Android version of NNFI Shishu became a hit with more than 10k medical professionals downloading and hence a natural demand to redo the same app for iPhone. This app is a replica of the original NNFI Shishu for Android on iOS!

NNFI Audit - App for Audit/Accredition

This Android based mobile application was developed for NNFI for streamlining their accredition process of their assessees, enforcing qualitative data collection, reducing taken to audit using technology!

High precision Spectacle Telescope mounting jig

This high precision instrument was developed for a Qatar based Dental Company, for mounting telescopes with maginfications on to spectacle for creating customized dental loops for Dental Practicioners.

Ultra Low Speed, High Torque Medical Treadmill

We developed these Ultra low speed (0.1-1kmph) programmable treadmill, with a rugged patient holding harness, for a Neural Rehabiltation center, which specializes in treatment neural disorders.

DentiSafe 360

DentiSafe-360 offers the convenience of sterlizing Dental chair, sink, equipment tray, under chair inaccessible places in less than five minutes after each patient is treated, keeping Dentists and Clinic safe!

Tech Demonstrator: Low Cost Ventilator

This low-cost ventilator prototype was developed as a technology demonstrator during Covid-19 lockdown of May 2021 in seven days in our lab. (Not commercialized).

Research Project: Electrothrombogram

Research project between our lab and JSS-AHER with support from DST, to explore possibility of using electrical signals to map blood clot patterns for point of care use. Our lab developed the hardware/software systems necessary.

High Sensitivity Bio-Luminometer

This highly sensitive Bio-Luminometer was developed by us for detecting very low intensity light emissions from a Bio-reaction. In this case it was Luciferin-Luciferase reaction. Developed for CFTRI, Mysuru.

Bio-Fuel Reactor Instrumentation

This custom made hardware and software could control temperature of a Biofuel reactor as well as log its data over several days to qualify biofuels.

LPG Biogas Auto Switcher

POC developed to demonstrate automatic switch between LPG and a kitchen waste Biogas, where biogas is generated locally. The system automatically switches to Biogas when it is available, and LPG if not availble, to the same stove!

POC for a lower limb Exoskeleton

This POC was done as a technology demonstrator which could act as input to build a functional lower Limb Exoskeleton that can enhance a person's endurance to carry load/ability to walk.

We develop various wearable sensing systems, that included body movement of a person, finger movements, bio signals like ECG, EMG, foot sensing and various other signals.

Wearable Debug Logger watch

This debug logger watch was a spin off from the wearable electronic system projects. This watch could pick up debug log data and calibration data from the wearable systems that a person wears. Handy to debug wearable electronics!

The Glove project

This was an apprentice project at our lab, where a bunch of students tried to build a glove which could sense finger movements and capture signals for various social cause applications!

Block Masonry - Modular construction using blocks

These Hollow Engineered Load bearing Block can be used to build upto 6 storeys without need of a framed Column-Beam structure. Different types of blocks that help build beams, pillars using blocks, best part: No Plastering!

Weather proof Synthetic wooden bridge

This metal structure, engineered wood bridge is built in GRS Fantasy Park, a water theme park. The bridge uses specially made Engineered wood that is water, weather and termite proof. Design ensures safety and long life as well.

Engineered Bottle Light

This Bottle light is an engineered version of the soft drink bottle light innovation for tin shed. This bottle light can be embedded into RCC roofs to get free natural sun light for life inside home without using electricity during day time!

Rain Water Harvested Indoor Swimming Pool

This indoor, rain water harvesting fed swimming pool was completely modeled, designed in 3d, and then built to look as per drawing. This pool is fed using rain harvested water from the building next to it.

Home Automation Systems

Dishclean - Sink side companion

This small device can be fixed next to the kitchen sink to reduce effort required to scrub utensils for washing. Originally designed for commercial kitchens, it can also be used at home!

Staircase Trolley

This draggable staircase trolley has unique design wheels, which help in climbing steps, as you drag it along with the load of a cooking gas cylinder or a 20 liter water can! Works for steps from 1"- 8" height.

LPG Biogas Auto Switcher

MS502-W3A: Energy Saving Movement Sensor

Save Energy by allowing this device to switch off lights, fans and other appliances when nobody is present in a room! Can be adapted for use with Split Air Conditioners as well! Huge savings in power bill month on month.

Hawk Eye Mini: Security system

(No longer in production) This is a preemptive security system that can switch on a light, and ring a calling bell when an intruder is detected. This is a deterrent device, which prevents intrustion.

Heavenly Air - Ionic Air Purifier for US/Canada Market

This product was developed in 2013 for US/Canada Market. Ion generator based air purifier for use in US/Canada homes that fit directly to the heating duct vents. No longer in production.

Solar Toy Plane Demo Exhibit

Novel exhibit where two light weight toy planes suspended from roof, get powered up by a powerful Light source from below, energizes itself and moves forward!

Potential Energy Exhibit (Pumped Storage)

This exhibit demonstrates a practial use of Potential energy using Pumped storage concept! Pumping water uphill using unused solar power and then generating power using potential energy when needed!

Water Current Energy Exhibit

This exhibit demonstrates how underwater currents can be harnessed to generate energy from the flow. Visitors can create water currents and observe how it is converted!

Wave/Tidal Energy harnessing Demo Exhibit

This exhibit allows visitor to generate waves in a glass tank with water, which causes pressure difference inside a sealed chamber, which can be exploited to generated useful electrical power!

Different design Wind Turbine Exhibit

This exhibit had 7 different designs of miniature turbines, with a foot pedal to start an Air gun, which can be pointed at any of these turbines by the visitor. Displays power generated in each type too!

Solar Cell Working Animated exhibit

Simple Solar Cell graphic poster, that lights up and animates to explain how a solar cell works! Built by an apprentice in our lab!

Treadmill that charges mobile as you walk

This energy exhibit demonstrates how the energy generated by a person walking on treadmill can be converted to electricity to charge mobile phones!

Exercycle displays energy produced

A Bar graph displays energy produced while you pedal the exercycle.

Low Cost, Rugged interactive Kisoks

We developed some low cost interactive science related kiosks that display variety of information and provoke curiosity of the visitors at the science exhibition!

Demonstrates to students/visitors the theory of Charle's law - Effect of Temperature on Pressure!

Boyles Law Exhibit

This interactive exhibit allows students to operate themselves and understand Boyles Law in Physics - Relationship between Volume and Pressure! As volume increases, pressure decreases and vice versa.

Converging Mirror Exhibit

In this interactive exhibit, students can converge or diverge two mirrors to understand principles of geometry, circle and angles! It is also lots of fun playing with this convering mirror exhibit.

Current Flow Exhibit

In this interactive exhibit, students can understand current flow from higher potential to lower potential by watching the animation in the illuminated poster.

Solar Panel Demonstration

Visitors can understand how light energy falling on Solar panel results in conversion to electrical energy.

Potential Difference Exhibit

In this interactive exhibit, students can elevate liquid in a beaker and observe the flow of water from higher to lower potential, along with seeing the same explained in an illuminated poster as well.

This sophisticated USB2USART PCB developed in-house by us for use with low level drivers for USART driven camera, Sensors etc. This helps connect to low power devices communicating in USART in a safe way.

8-Channel variable voltage MOSFET based Level Shifters

For use by electronic developers during development phases, to shift signal levels between multiple devices with different voltages. Translates any voltage between 1-5 Volts.

Android based Monitor for Ultrasound Simulator

As part of a "Neonatal ultrasound simulator product" (SIMBU), we developed an Android based sophisticated software which simulates the ultrasound machine used in hospitals, with a host of training features!

Diamond Die Inspection Software

This software was developed for a customer to inspect the diamond dies used for wire drawing dies for doing quality control of the dies. The software measures the die's bore optically using a high resolution image taken from a 100X microscope.

Drive By Wire Technology Software for EV

We developed a full Remote driving control stack for an electric vehicle, using 4G Mobile tech as a Technology demonstrator. The software had multiple pieces, embededded stack on vehicle and GUI Remote Driver Console on PC.
